Ice cream is a frozen dessert made from ingredients such as drinking water, milk, and/or dairy products, with food additives and/or nutritional fortifiers added as needed, through processes such as mixing, cooling, and freezing. Compared to popsicles, the ice cream production process includes additional steps of aging and hardening, which cause the finished product to expand in volume and results in a lighter, softer, and creamier texture.
Our Method 1, Method 3, and Method 4 caramel colors can be used in frozen desserts (including ice cream, popsicles, flavored ice treats, and ice lollies, excluding edible ice) to enhance the consistency of the product’s color.
In addition, caramel coloring can be used in ice cream ingredients such as chocolate coatings and waffle cones. For best results, it is recommended to mix the caramel coloring with other liquid ingredients before baking the waffle cones.
